At Cross International, we work with ministries around the world to supply life-saving resources and to fund life-changing outreaches for the poor. The El Camino Sunday School Feeding program in Peru is a program in need of this support.
In the town of La Independencia, Peru, children struggle to survive, often dealing with daily hunger and abusive family situations. To respond to this need, El Camino began an evangelistic outreach to the community, and as knowledge of the program grew, so did the number of children seeking its support and services. These children not only needed food – they craved a safe, nurturing environment where they could be loved and regain their sense of hope.
Every Sunday, dozens of poor children in the area attend this small Sunday school program where volunteers serve a nutritious lunch and offer engaging activities that introduce the children to Christ. The local El Camino church provides materials and supplies for this Sunday school program, but its leaders don’t have the funds to feed all the children who attend. You can help make a difference in a child’s life by providing a boy or girl with nutritious meals to fight malnutrition, while introducing the Gospel of Hope through the El Camino Sunday School. Any gift amount you give will help this vital program expand and serve more children in need.
