Cross International has years of experience in Christian relief and development, and our ministry has cataloged a variety of specific projects that your church's presentation or special concert can highlight - food and medicine distribution, home building programs for homeless families, educational or self-help outreaches that break the cycle of poverty and other projects that can reshape entire communities.

  Harmony of Hearts supplies a free and
flexible "tool chest"of resources that can be
used to create a dramatic anthem or
presentation for your church. Some of the
elements include:
• Special hymn and song selections
• Related arrangements & sheet music
• Recorded Scripture readings (including
James Earl Jones)
• Videos linked to songs with click tracks *
• Posters and printed materials

* Cross provides versions with and without music
and/or vocals so worship leaders can add live
music or vocals to the video.

You can:

  • Feed a family in Guatemala 
  • Deliver life-saving medicines to a church clinic
  • Support a shelter for abused women in Ethiopia
  • Build a house for a family in destitute Haiti
  • Dig a well for a village in Africa
  • Provide emergency relief to hurricane victims

In this way, your church members who participate will see a specific, tangible result from the program they have supported, and your own choir, praise band or worship team will have the same sense of satisfaction after the event (please see our Project Catalog for ideas).


 

Harmony of Hearts also provides an effective outreach to the community and families to become interested in your church. By hosting a special concert to help the poor, you'll create a strong impression among your "neighbors" and give them a unique way to interact with your church members. For some, this may be a first impression of the Gospel of hope - and it may be the starting point for their personal salvation. Our "flexibility first" approach gives you creative tools to make the community welcome, opening their eyes to the blessings of your church family and of the Gospel itself.
