Cross International has engaged in anti-poverty projects in 25 developing countries, and has shipped urgently-needed goods to the poor in many more.
By partnering with Christian ministries around the world that are already working in their own communities, Cross ensures that outreach to the poor is accomplished efficiently and effectively. Churches and church-based ministries are already established in their town or village; the pastors and lay-leaders already know the language and culture; and they can best identify the unique needs of the poor in their area. But often these critical ministries are nearly as poor as the people they serve. They have sincere compassion for the poor, but lack the resources to have a significant impact—without help, that is.
By providing monetary grants as well as shipments of material goods, Cross International gives Christian ministries overseas the resources they need to make a lasting difference in their poor communities. Cross closely works with each partner to provide transparent accountability of funds, and to measure the success of outreach programs.
