How Cross International is making an impact
By shipping medical and nutritional supplies to the developing world and funding programs aimed at HIV/AIDS prevention and care, Cross International has played an important role in combating this devastating illness. The social stigma against AIDS victims is still very strong in many parts of the world, but we are supporting medical outreaches that are challenging those destructive attitudes and encouraging the sick to get tested, seek treatment and avoid behaviors that put their friends and family at risk. The fact is that HIV medications are more widely accessible than ever before. When combined with good nutrition – often provided by charitable organizations, including some ministries we support – these antiretroviral drugs can enable patients to live long, healthy lives, while also reducing transmission.
