Now YOU can declare your message of support by helping us building a new deep-water well in Zambia, providing clean, fresh water for 600 villagers.
You may have seen 14-year-old Hugh and 13-year-old Liam Ryder playing guitar in coffee shops and restaurants. Now these talented young musicians have an even higher calling — to change the lives of Zambian villagers by providing them with safe, clean drinking water.
Hugh and Liam, along with their family, have been partnering with Cross International, a Christian nonprofit ministry headquartered in Pompano Beach, Florida, reaching out to communities that have the deepest needs. That’s where the two brothers came in contact with the people who live in the Chipata district of Zambia, where 76% of households lack access to a clean, safe water.
Cross International is in the middle of a three-year initiative with its Zambian partner, Kachere Development Program, to construct clean-water wells. One well provides water for 600 villagers.
Hugh and Liam said, “That’s what we want to do — to use our love of music to provide clean water to a village in Zambia.”
In Zambia, women like Janet Tembo used to travel great distances to collect their water from dirty riverbeds. With a new community well, they can collect clean water easily!
Each hand-pump operated well provides clean water for approximately 600 villagers, and is also located in an easy-to-access area. Join Hugh and Liam today to provide a compassionate gift of safe water for Zambian children and their families!
