A future for Inocencia

Six-year-old Inocencia knows what it means to go hungry.

“We do not know where to get food,” she explained.

In her rural village in southern Malawi, hunger is a daily reality. Her mother, Violet, struggles to provide for four children after a cyclone destroyed the garden she once depended on for food and income.

STEP 1 | FEED

Food security begins with immediate access to nutritious food

You provide food through Cross as we leverage local purchasing and humanitarian food shipments to get lifesaving nutrition into the hands of those who need it most, as soon as possible
Your support helps expand access to food during times of acute crisis
In addition to immediate relief, you supply reliable school meals, monthly community food kit distributions, and supplementary feeding programs for infants, young children, and the elderly to promote household stability

STEP 2 | EQUIP

Food security continues with ongoing nutrition support, education, and health monitoring to help families lay the foundation for a stronger future

Your faithful support helps increase access to nutrition-based healthcare, screenings and growth tracking
Your giving provides caregivers with maternal counseling and practical nutrition education, promoting healthy eating, hygiene, and safe food handling practices
In partnership with other believers you help establish community gardens and support livelihood projects that help provide food stability for the future

STEP 3 | TRANSFORM

Food security is sustained by strengthening community systems

Community resilience to droughts, floods, and natural disasters is improved through your support of community preparedness initiatives

Your generous gift will be used to support the Cross International project(s) indicated through June 30, 2027, the close of our ministry’s fiscal year. In the event that more funds are raised than needed to fully fund the initiative, the excess funds, if any, will be used to meet the most urgent needs of the ministry and may be used in the following fiscal year.
