God’s love, transforming deepest need into thriving joy
“Do not have two differing weights in your bag—one heavy, one light. Do not have two differing measures in your house—one large, one small. You must have accurate and honest weights and measures, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.” Deuteronomy 25: 13-15
At Cross International, we meticulously honor the intent of our donors. All proceeds are restricted for the specific project for which they are raised. In the rare event that more funds are received than are required for a specific project, the additional funds will be used to meet the most urgent needs of the poor.
We are committed to keeping our administrative costs low and maintaining high standards of accountability and ethics. We recognize that our witness to the Lord is undermined if we do not treat one another, our donors, our vendors, and other persons or organizations with honesty and respect. We recognize that how we conduct our ministry is just as important as what we accomplish because in all that we do or say, whether among the poor or among ourselves, we should do all for the glory of God.
We pledge to remain centered on our Lord, Jesus Christ, and we will seek to manifest His love and follow His teachings in all we do. We pledge truthfulness in our communication with donors. We pledge to be fiscally responsible and cost-effective, and we will keep overhead as low as possible as a means of providing more to the poor we serve.
We also pledge to be fully accountable to donors for the use of funds – respecting the donor’s intent in the use of their gifts – and we will provide complete documentation to donors who support this work of mercy. In a spirit of gratitude for the sacrifices they make, we pledge to treat donors as full partners in this ministry, praying regularly for their need.
